JANUARY 3, 2008 - This morning a new yard-bird showed up, a single SNOW BUNTING, at our feeders in Wolfville. It was on the ground around our pheasant feeder full of cracked corn and possibly foraging on other seeds I spread on the ground under the hanging feeders. It joined our clay-coloured sparrow, chipping sparrow, white-crowned sparrow, hordes of junky juncos (junky because so abundant this year), white-throated sparrows, a single common redpoll, blue jays, mourning doves, etc. Also seen were 2 separate female cardinals. Cheers :-) from Jim in Wolfville, 542-9204 --------------------- Jim (James W.)
