As we = scanned the flock I said we should look for a hoary redpoll. My wife = spotted one and then we watched as clearly two and possibly a third = hoary redpoll fed in the open for perhaps 10 minutes or more. They were = larger and whiter at the lower back, and essentially totally white under = the tail and lower sides - but I couldn't comment on bill size as they = moved constantly.
