Hi Blake

What time was the frigatebird seen? at high or low tide. Is it =
behaving like a tern?? Further information will be much appreciated for =
us all. Thanks. liz

21 December 2007

December 17th, Rick Reid made a remarkable discovery at Cow Bay, HRM, =
when he was "overflown" by a Magnificent Frigatebird. And, even better, =
he managed to secure some photos. Two of these have been placed on the =
NS-RBA photo pages, in the RBA Seabirds folder. This is the first =
winter record for Nova Scotia, and one of few for the province. It may =
be a first Canadian winter record as well.

Another source informed me in private email that the mentioned bird was =
seen four times since its initial sighting by Terry Paquet after =
Hurricane Noel in early November.=20

Cheers, liz
