Hi all, No rarities for the 6 birders that covered the Hartlen Point area on Sunday, but highlights included all the expected sea and bay ducks (both scaup opposite the westmost Tim Hortons), 2 Dovekie (just off the point), 8 Northern Harriers (at least 5 of which were certainly not double-counts, thanks to plumage, timing, and location), 2 Rough- legged Hawks (one dark, one light, headed toward Devil's Island), nearly 200 Snow Buntings (biggest flock at the golf course), over 40 Pine Grosbeaks (everywhere), 8 Lapland Longspurs (airport & golf course), over 300 Bohemian Waxwings (biggest flock, c. 270, near the westmost Tim Horton's). Cheers, Andy Horn Halifax (with Charles, Domenic, Peter, Duncan, and Bob)
