All: Like others, I went out in pursuit of storm driven seabirds, but there was no Joyeux Noel for me - I envy Terry Paquet. I did see a large roost of about 50 Black-headed Gulls among the usuals on the playing field at Shannon Park, Saturday during the driving rain. On Sunday, there were some 800 Canada Geese (no exotics) and 40 scaup, mostly Lessers, I think, and 4 Am. Coots on Bissett Lake, Dartmouth. This morning The Blue Grosbeak reported for a week by Dave Currie and others was still there at 10:30 or so, in the weedy areas closest to entrance 2. Cheers, Ian McLaren
