Exit the 101 at exit 5a. Go past the Windsor Exhibition grounds on the right and Tim Hortons on the left. Go through the traffic lights (on green!). Then turn right on Centennial Drive and continue till the road takes a sharp right at the sewage plant. The gate is closed, and you can't get into the plant, but there are good views of the SE lagoon from the road. At the end of the road walk to the left, and it's usually possible to see the NW lagoon as well. In the afternoon on a sunny day, the sun is in the wrong place for good viewing. If the little railway at the end of Centennial Dr. is operatng (I think just on Sundays) it's worth going in there to look as well. Birds are best when the tide in the mouth of the Avon River is high.
