Hi All, A Quick Update on the BARNACLE GOOSE. It was seen today by many birders with the best news being that everyone that tried for the bird saw it along with a couple of CACKLING, and the GREATER WHITE-FRONTED. Only the Greater Snow Goose seemed to be missing. The RED-HEADED WOODPECKER was not seen by any of our group but the owners of house # 130 said that they heard it earlier in the morning. It may be that the Merlin that was present was causing the bird to stay out of sight. All the geese were basically at the same spot as yesterday but in the field on the opposite side of the street making house #130 on McWIlliam Road the best viewing location although all the geese could certainly be seen from the main road. Other highlights included a flock of Bohemian Waxwings, small numbers of Horned Larks & Lapland Longspurs. We had no luck with the Gray Partridge when we tried but did discover a new road that allows one to easily walk into the harvested corn fields. Just past the Wendy's a road runs between the Comfort Inn & the Irving gas station and is called Meadow Road. - Cheers, Clarence ____________________________________________________ Yahoo!
