David Walmark and I went for a jaunt today and birding I must say was very =
slow. We were hard pressed to find 28 species. I found two more at my fee=
der at home, with one of those species being red crossbill.
=20
Other birds of note at Second Peninsula=20
=20
House Sparrow 22
Red-winged Blackbird 24
Brown-headed Cowbird 5
Bobolink 2
Killdeer 1
Wilson's Snipe 1
=20
Glenn Rhodenizer on the farm said that there were as many as four Wilson's =
snipe there and two killdeer and some other shorebirds. We did not see the=
others though at the time of our visit. Glenn also had a barn swallow on =
the 25th and saw a ruby-throated hummingbird on the 23rd and the 25th. =20
=20
Greater Scaup 33 at Riverport and fair numbers at Corkum's Island also.
=20
Sincerely,
=20
