Just for your interest on Thursday after seeing you, Linda and I checked some
fields towards the Masstown Market on old highway 4. Geese are sometimes in
fields behind the Chiganois Elementary School because of no hunting. Where
Shore Road joins hwy 4 there were several groups landing in a plowed field with
numbers building to about 400. It was enjoyable watching them settle with the
sunlight on them. However we saw no barnacle goose. Friday I saw geese in
(Will-Kar) gravel pits along the North River but was unable to check them out
at that time. Many geese breed there in summer.

Regards

Ross
