There has been a flurry of avian activity in my backyard here north of
Kentville the last 2 mornings. Yesterday there were many Y-R and 2
Black-thr. Green Warblers, + Purple Finches, Juncos, White-throated and Song
Sparrows and a few Blue Jays, Flickers, Robins and Cedar Waxwings. Today
there were many more Robins and Waxwings, + Red-winged Blackbirds and
Grackles as well as the same as yesterday, so that the whole property was
just alive and a-twitter with birds for a couple of hours. The main
attraction seems to be the ripe mountain ash ad choke and pin-cherry
berries.

Yesterday afternoon we went to Duncan's Cove and Ketch Harbor before going
into Halifax for the evening, but all the good birds seen in the morning had
gone!
