Dear All, Ocr 9, 2007
This has been a good year for Common Reed (Phragmites australis aka
P. communis) on the lawn. The stand is unusually dense and some plants
are slightly more than 12 feet tall (2 spans). This greater vigor might
be related to the relatively regular rainfall until late summer.
