(Google hopeforwildlife). Hope herself might be on vacation, but no wildlife rehabilitator can take time off completely from her facility -- i.e., she has a fleet of volunteers there all the time, I'm sure. This is why we owe so much to all wildlife rehabilitors like Hope and Helene and others and formerly to Elaine and Michael Kew (Atl. Raptor Rehab. Ctr.). Cheers from Jim in Wolfville ---------- From: Gayle MacLean <duartess2003@yahoo.ca> Reply-To: naturens@chebucto.ns.ca Date: Fri, 21 Sep 2007 08:17:12 -0400 (EDT) To: naturens@chebucto.ns.ca Subject: [NatureNS] Downed (Injured) Seagull @ Sullivan's Pond To any that could assist, Just got back from my daily dog walk (9AM, Friday) and saw a smallish, young (I figured anyway, brownish, speckled) downed seagull near the war memorial of Sullivan's Pond. I am without a car at the moment and I called Hope Swiminer who has the bird rehab centre but she is on vacation. Otherwise, I would take my cat carrier and drive over, get it & take it to the vet. It seems quite alert and I see no visible injuries, except that it legs are straight out behind it & cannot seem to get them back under itself..... anyway, didn't know if anyone could help out. Thanks, Gayle MacLean Dartmouth --Boundary_(ID_uEJIm4cwyaRJky0zbzBhjQ) Content-type: text/html; charset=us-ascii Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD><TITLE>re Downed (Injured) Seagull @ Sullivan's Pond</TITLE> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=us-ascii"> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.6000.16525" name=GENERATOR></HEAD> <BODY> <DIV><SPAN class=296044620-21092007><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2>Thanks Jim, and you're right...we can never leave completely :)</FONT></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=296044620-21092007><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2></FONT></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=296044620-21092007><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2>Helene</FONT></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=296044620-21092007><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2>Cobequid Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre</FONT></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=296044620-21092007><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2>Truro NS</FONT></SPAN></DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE dir=ltr style="MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px"> <DIV class=OutlookMessageHeader dir=ltr align=left><FONT face=Tahoma size=2>-----Original Message-----<BR><B>From:</B> naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca [mailto:naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca]<B>On Behalf Of </B>Jim Wolford<BR><B>Sent:</B> Friday, September 21, 2007 10:46 AM<BR><B>To:</B> NatureNS<BR><B>Subject:</B> [NatureNS] re Downed (Injured) Seagull @ Sullivan's Pond<BR><BR></FONT></DIV>Gail, have you tried the Hope For Wildlife Web-site?
