All,

Was able to get a lift down to get the injured seagull and delivered it to Dartmouth Vet Hospital.

  Regards,

    To any that could assist,

Just got back from my daily dog walk (9AM, Friday) and saw a smallish, young (I figured anyway, brownish, speckled) downed seagull near the war memorial of Sullivan's Pond. I am without a car at the moment and I called Hope Swiminer who has the bird rehab centre but she is on vacation. Otherwise, I would take my cat carrier and drive over, get it & take it to the vet. It seems quite alert and I see no visible injuries, except that it legs are straight out behind it & cannot seem to get them back under itself..... anyway, didn't know if anyone could help out.

  Thanks,

  Gayle MacLean

Very still but nice weather. Very little in the amount of birds but I thought I would post that I startled an american bittern at Pond Cove and that there are a dozen green wing teal there. Many blue herons. Interesting that it is similiar to what Murray posted on CSI. Haven't seen the Sandhill Crane since the 14th, the day before the big rain storm.

There are certainly many flocks of goldfinches all over the island. Also flocks of cedar waxwings. A few Kingbirds. 1 RT hummingbird.
