Dear All, Sept 13, 2007 I recently washed some Rosa rugosa seeds free of ripe pulp and after brief drying put them in a dish of water to remove remaining traces of pulp. They floated but in a non-uniform distribution, i.e. in clusters. This appears to be a surface tension.effect. When one seed is pulled away from a cluster 5 mm or so ii is slowly and then more rapidly drawn to the nearest seed. Yt, DW
