Good stuff, Nancy!? How big are those 4 nests you are so lucky? to have on
your house?! Are they big ones or perhaps tiny ones that will house new
queens over winter? Cheers from Jim in Wolfville

Hi Jim:=20

=20

I=B9ve also noticed a lot of bald-faced hornets on the swamp milkweed in my
yard in Port Williams

=AD in fact they seem to be the most common insect visitors to those flowers
lately.=20

=20

For the past few weeks, wasps have been busy harvesting wood fibres from my
cedar fence. When all

else is quiet I can hear the rasping sound of their mandibles on the wood.
Meanwhile, each of my four

roof windows is sporting a wasp nest under the flashing=8A.

=20

Cheers, Nancy=20
