It's the height of migration for some adult shorebirds - as others have noted. 
In late morning at Hartlen Pt., not the best place for them, there were some 60
yellowlegs - almost all Lesser - and about 30 dowitchers, of which some were of
the central boreal-subarctic race hendersoni.  They were resting on rocks or
foraging in the beach wrack.
