We were at Long Beach, Baxters Harbor, Fundy Shore at supper time. Within a
few minutes the gray clouds over the Bay of Fundy darkened and lowered, the
wind whipped up, whitecaps formed on the bay, trees started bending, and
even a "wall-cloud" came down from the ever blackening cloud base. I
honestly thought we were going to get a tornado or something. However,
within a few more minutes the whole phenomenon passed by and broke up,
leaving bright sunshine and calm water again.

At the height of this, 4 N.Gannets and a Sooty Shearwater flew west, low
over the water of the bay. I have never seen either species this far up the
Bay before, and I have never seen any Shearwater east of Digby Neck before,
and certainly not in King's Co. It was almost as if they had been caught up
in the storm and brought the 200km. or so from the Brier Island area.
