All:

I wonder if anyone has infformation on this report of a Black Vulture last
winter? It was not reported in the last issue "Nova Scotia Birds." It would
not, of course, be our only winter record and is not the most northerly one,
but it may be the most northerly one for NS.

    I wonder if you have heard any reports of a Black Vulture at the
Dingwall dump last winter.  This would appear to be the northernmost
record of the species and it is very interesting that the bird
apparently was completely intimidating to ravens, which practically
cleared out while the vulture was present.

small numbers in Atlantic Canada Mid August to early October.&nbsp; The winter Black

August about a Buff-breasted Sandpiper at South Harbour.&nbsp; I did not get a
response so did not report that the same bird was present a week later.&nbsp; I
have no idea whether the first report was published or is scheduled to be but I
can supply the further details just for the record if anyone is keeping track

anything that someone else might be doing, although I don't think the record
has come to the attention of birders or ornithologists until now.&nbsp; Is there
a source updating the status of Black Vulture in Nova Scotia since Tuck?&nbsp;
