Hello everyone:

I have been busy atlassing of late. Today I had a few surprises.

One on of the wood roads near Martock, i almost stepped on a frog.
After its first jump it was quite cooperative, and stayed still while I
took a few pictures. I'm still not sure if it is a northern leapard
frog, or a pickeral frog.

On the same road, I heard and had a good view of two chimney swifts.

And, on the same road I saw, what at first glance looked like a
magnolia warbler,, but when it got closer, it looked more to me like a
Canada warbler, except that it has white patches near the eyes, which
has me somewhat confused It was not making any sounds, unfortunately.

If it is not a Canada warbler, please let me know.

After snapping away pictures of this bird, when it finally flew away, I
took a step back and turned around and about four metres from me was a
white-tailed deer that was obviousy curious as to what I had been
doing. I don't have a picture so you con guess which of us was more
startled!
