Do you a have a Male guarding the feeder? This is a problem I have at the multiple feeders I have set up. First it is was the one closest to the flowers that was the guarded so I added a hanging basket next to each feeder but the prime location was still guarded. After getting tired of filling my three cup+ feeders every day, I have bought two additional large feeders (32oz). Now each large one is guarded and the small ones get used first. I have had at least 10 hummers for the past month.

  Same subject different behaviour.

My busy hummer feeder has had no visitors for three days.
All activity ceased just as quickly as you can say "knife".

Is this unusual, connected with egg-sitting, due to the males going
into the woods
or?????????

Worried in Hall's' Harbour
