Hi All
This morning a friend and I went to Cooks Falls to
fish but really to talk with old friends.
However as I watched a salmon went up over the falls
and of course disappeared. Optical aids are no good
with fish - they don't hang around long enough.
Anyway 30 min latter a salmon jumped about 200 m above
the falls, prehaps the same fish? as we watched a
second fish jumped a little behind the first. Old
hands thought it two fish but who knows?
This time of year should be the start of the grilse
run, so go to the falls and sit quitely for a few
hours and closely observe the lip of the falls at the
same time. You might see one too!
Have a good spring
Paul
