Index of Subjects Jean Timpa asked, regarding Red Admirals overwintering: "I believe they are all migrants. Is there any other literature out there that backs this one way or another?" It would indeed be interesting to know what the situation is here in Nova Scotia. In "The Butterflies of Canada", the authors say "They occasionally overwinter successfully in Canada in mild winters" which is a pretty broad statement. Southern Ontario certainly qualifies as part of Canada. Perhaps with climate change we'll see more of them very early in the spring. Peter Payzant
