Two field trips are scheduled in the Truro area on Sunday June 3 - Both trips take place about 1:30 pm in the parking lot of the N.S. Community College. These are part of the Nature Nova Scotia Annual Genaral Meeting in the morning at 10 pm. Botany hike up the Salmon River with Heather Drope and Charlie Cron This is a walk in the river flood plain so bring rubber boots (and fly dope) 2. Birding with Linda Hall and Bob MacDonald. Starting about 1:30 PM or so at the Rock Garden on the NSAC campus. After checking out the campus (mainly for Gray Partridge), we will proceed to Bible Hill where there is a hiking trail along the Salmon River. Duration: about 3 hours total. Difficulty: Easy Please attend the AGM in the morning - We will be electing president, V.P, treasurer and a at-large board member. There will be reports of the past year and discussion for the coming year. If you are not a member, you can join at the meeting.
