This afternoon:
Belleisle Marsh
Loafing Pond - SW Corner
- ~ 15 Shovellers
- 10-12 Buffleheads ( they stage here in some numbers before heading
North but it seems I missed them)
- 12-15 Ring-necked Ducks
- 2-3 A. Wigeon
- a few Blacks & Mallards

North - South Ponds
- 6 pair Ring-necked Ducks
- 1 pair Blue-winged Teal
- 1 Pied-billed Grebe
- 1 pair Shovellers
- 1 A. Coot
- the usual Tree Swallows and a number of Cliff Swallows.
- 2 Soras

French Basin Trail (Annapolis Royal)
- 1 pair Pied-billed Grebes
- 1 pair Wood Ducks
- ~ 15 Black Ducks
- 2 male Green-winged Teal
- 1 male Shoveller
- 1 pair Canada Geese with 6 young
- 8 Ring-necked Ducks
- lots of Yellow Warblers, 1 Chestnut-sided Warbler
- ++ Tree Swallows but only a few nestboxes occupied

Sewage Ponds (just S. of Marsh)
- ~ 10 Wood Ducks
- 1 pair Gadwall
- 1 Green-winged Teal
- Black Duck with 11 young.

The water level is extremely high here in the Marsh so not suitable to
dabblers (except for Black Ducks it seems). Usually the Shovellers are
here so the high water may have forced them to Belleisle Marsh.
