Hi, Mike, Liz, and all.

I have hiked in that general area, and yes, you can get to it from the
MSI/Blue Cross office area.

You walk behind the large steel gate on Spectacle Lake Drive. It's a
power line access road, or was, now that the multi-purpose field is in
there now. This old road goes past the other (eastern) end of Spectacle
Lake, and comes to a dead end at the edge of the new playing field, or
the parking lot.

The old power line access road - what's left of it - used to be good for
blueberries. Remember it come August.

Mike's route from Burnside Drive to Wright Ave to Garland is a
relatively new access point. The trail leads to a boardwalk over a large
bog at the northern and western side of Spectacle Lake.

There is another lake in this general area - Frenchman's Lake, which has
been mentioned recently in the news.
