Thanks for this. I think the Gaspereau are in Prospect Bay now as the Osprey
are here at the mouth of Prospect River, and it seems the Osprey arrive just
before the Gaspereau.

Subject: [NatureNS] Barrington River

While passing Barrington River this morning I saw about forty cormorant on a
rock in the middle of the river, plus an osprey flying around. I think I
will take a walk down that way this afternoon - it looks to me like a good
sign that the kiack are starting their run. It is illegal to catch them on
the weekend, so it will be tomorrow before we see any dippers at work.
