I just added another large tree to the list on the Nature N.S. web page.

It is a Red Oak in Kings County 1.37 m in diameter and 28 m tall
submitted by Ed and Mary Anne Sulis in Kenville.. This is the largest Oak
yet on the list. You can see pictures of it at
http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/Environment/FNSN/big_trees/RO-06.html

Now..... there are lots of big Red Oaks and White Pines on the List and
most of them from Kings County. All of you naturalist must run into big
trees
on your outings, why not measure them and submit the results for the big
ones.
See the Big Tree page on how to do it... http://www.naturens.ca
and click on Big Tree Project.

We need some other species (Red Maple, White Spruce, aspen, ash, White Birch
Balsam Fir. AND we need them from counties other than Kings.

Looking forward to your results.

Cheers,
Larry Bogan
