April 28, 2007 - TREMBLING ASPEN POPLAR is in bloom in Wolfville, and
perhaps has been so for a few days now? Also several species of WILLOWS
show open flower now, and a few FORSYTHIA bushes are now in bloom.

At our feeders in Wolfville, 2 brown-plumaged PURPLE FINCHES (females or
imm. males)(none seen for a week or more after our first couple were seen).
Our male and female N. CARDINALS have not been seen now for about 10 days.

April 29, 2007 - A male N. CARDINAL appeared at our Wolfville feeders this
morning.

May 1, 2007 - A brightly plumaged SAVANNAH SPARROW showed up at our feeders
in Wolfville. Also present are at least 20 very active and colourful AM.
GOLDFINCHES, etc.

Cheers :-) from Jim in Wolfville, 542-9204
