As it turns out, it is not in the Louisbourg area but in Catalone Gut, at a pond north of the Catalone Gut Road (i.e. between Catalone Gut and Mira Gut). Here is Ian's description: The egret was in Mira gut down to the left of NORTHSIDE Catalone GUT road by Tommy Dicksons House There is a small pond on the right side of the highway ( paved highway ) you take the first dirt road to your right and walk in 2 minutes and you will see the pond.
