While waiting for my car to be serviced last evening, I walked over to =
nearby Tufts Cove and found the local Mute Swan. I had heard it being =
mentioned as showing up in this area occasionally but it was the first =
time I had come across it. It made various vocalizations and came right =
over to below where I was standing, and it wasn't long posing for me in =
the classic Swan's agressive posture. Although obviously domesticated, =
there is no denying this birds elegance. I returned just before dark to =
show Darlene but I wasn't able to locate it. Here are two pics:
