Today as I was driving from the city on Hwy 101 I saw a mature bald
eagle 4 kms west of the Mt Uniake interchange. The white head and tail
were very brilliant if that is any help for aging these birds. I didn't
see any water nearby but a lake could have been close enough to the area
to attract an eagle.
I have also become aware of another eagle nest in the Scotch Village/
Mosherville area of Hants Co. It has been active for at least 5 yrs. I
have been told by nearby residents. Birds have been observed there this
year. I will make a check for myself within a week.
I did see an eagle at the first S.V. nest this spring. I would say the
nest is occupied but I can't see into the nest directly.
