Birds that I saw yesterday afternoon at Three Fathom Hbr. included:

40 scaup, roughly half each of Greater and Lesser (down from 60 April 8)
26 Red-breasted Mergansers
2 Common Mergansers
80 Common Eiders in the main harbour and 70 at the Terminal Beach area, with males calling and displaying
1 Greater Yellowlegs at Shorebird Cove
6 Black-headed Gulls, 5 with full hoods
Red-winged Blackbirds - 10+ males singing, compared to one April 8
Juncos singing everywhere
Purple Finch - 1 male singing here, and 3 along the Old Mineville Road

No sign of the single Killdeer that was present at Shorebird Cove on April 8.

Cheers,
Susann
