On our way out, we heard very clearly, a Barred Owl hoot several times; this was at 11:30 a.m. I'm used to hearing Barreds hoot during the day, but normally only late in the afternoon, at the earliest. Then, about 1.5 h later, in Cloverville, Ant. Co. where I have some empty (grrr) owl boxes, we heard another Barred Owl calling. Must have been the phase of the moon today.
