Today at noon I finaly had a song sparrow singing his little
heart out for a mate. What a joyful sound. Now I just heard
a bird ruckus outside and about eighty starlings are fighting
over the suet feeder. I just filled it a couple of days ago and
expect it to be empty by tonight or tomorrow at this rate.
The snow looks lovely and on a positive note, it is nature
fertilizing our soil, so I've been told.
Checked out Mayflowers yesterday and they are showing
colour but look to be about two weeks off from blooming.
We would need a heat wave around here to get them
blooming. Maybe this year they will bloom in the month
they are named after. Heather in central Halifax.
