I am pleased to announce that* Dr. George Archibald*, native of 
Guysborough County, Nova Scotia, co-founder of the *International Crane 
Foundation*, has been selected by *Nature Canada* for the *Pimlott 
Award*, presented annually to a Canadian who has made outstanding 
contributions to conservation. . This award will be given at the Nature 
Canada 2007 conference in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, on August 4th. I urge 
all who know George through the St. Mary's River Association, and  know 
of his many years of commitment to conservation of cranes and their 
habitat, will plan to attend this conference. The site is
