One of the signs of spring that I always look forward to around our
Wolfville Ridge home is the emergence of the first CHIPMUNK, and one
appeared this afternoon. Warmer night temperatures also has its
drawbacks.raccoons have begun making nightly (nuisance) forays into our yard
again, climbing up onto platform bird feeders that certainly are not built
to take their weight!! Any morning I expect to see disastrous results.

Also decided it was time to put up a few nest boxes for the chickadees,
hoping the squirrels will not widen the entrance holes before the birds have
a chance to use them.

Today in spite of lovely sunshine, there's a biting wind, with temp barely
reaching Minus 1 degree Celsius.

Small patches of snow still linger at the back of our garden where it is
sheltered, so it is not all quite springlike!!

Cheers
Judy Tufts
