Yesterday Dorothy Poole and I took a jaunt around Milton, Liverpool, Brooklyn and to Beach Meadows and West Berlin. It was pretty quiet. The best birds seen likely were 21 common grackles and 16 red-winged blackbirds. Today on the mudflats in front of the house was a killdeer. The first one in this area that I have seen coming back through in migration. Sincerely, James R.
