Hi All My flock of ducks has increased to 5 pairs of mallards and a pair of blacks. They have a lively time during their feeding. Chasing and fighting. Yesterday evening 2 male mallards and the male black spent some time just sitting around on the lawn. Probably indicates the hens were off laying or at least starting a nest not too far away. This morning nobody appeared. Prehaps they don't like to fly in the ice storm. Yesterday in Mahone Bay, there was a male green wing teal in a group of mallards. A very pretty bird.
