Last night I was awoken at 3am by the howling and yipping of a very
nearby pack of (well, at least 2) Coyotes. They sounded like there
were right in the backyard, but as we have 2 small dogs, I hope they
weren't. Last weekend I saw a very healthy looking one in a field just
up the road.

Today Liz came with me to work in Digby, and she heard a N.Cardinal
singing loudly behind the hospital. I went to look, but it had
stopped. But the guy who had some feeders in a house nearby said that
a pair has been visiting all winter and have recently started to sing.
