Hi Larry;
I'm not an expert on Pelee but the approach is fairly simple.
1. Accommodations
It may be difficult to find a motel/bed & breakfast spot at this late date. Perhaps in St. Thomas which is a distance away. However if you plan to camp there's more opportunity.
2. Birds are sufficient !!
3. Get down to the Centre/parking lot around 5. Catch the first tram to the Tip. Many birds fly to the Tip & then after assessing the situation fly south again. After seeing everything there walk back on the main trail. Check at the Centre for good birds seen that morning. A list is kept each day. Ask directions to the Louisiana Waterthrush.....good birds on the way too. You'll hear about lots of birds (which ones to chase??) if there's a good migration at the time (Sometimes the best time is around the 10th but no one knows!). There are several excellent marshes outside the Park that you should visit. There are also sewage ponds but check on access. At certain ones they charge trespassers!!

Good birding,
Angus

At 10:24 PM 3/12/2007, you wrote:

Hello all,

I am planning a trip to Point Pelee National Park for mid May.
