A couple of the over-wintering Song Sparrows have been singing for
two weeks now, and they were joined over a week ago by Mourning
Doves. Today a junco began singing, one of my over-wintering
"flock" of three, the smallest flock I've ever had in winter. For
me the first junco song is a spring sound.

At least this spring we should be able to detect the arrival of
juncos and Song Sparrows arriving from the south.

Cheers,
