Index of Subjects A couple of the over-wintering Song Sparrows have been singing for two weeks now, and they were joined over a week ago by Mourning Doves. Today a junco began singing, one of my over-wintering "flock" of three, the smallest flock I've ever had in winter. For me the first junco song is a spring sound. At least this spring we should be able to detect the arrival of juncos and Song Sparrows arriving from the south. Cheers, ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blake Maybank Editor, "Nova Scotia Birds" author, "Birding Sites of Nova Scotia" http://maybank.tripod.com/BSNS.htm 144 Bayview Drive White's Lake, Nova Scotia, B3T 1Z1, Canada maybank@ns.sympatico.ca (902) 852-2077 -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
