Hi there, Was anyone listening to the phone-in today on CBC Radio One's Maritime Noon, with Bob Bancroft? I heard the latter part of a call from a woman who reported a Barn Owl in her area. (Yes, that's Barn, not Barred.) I had just tuned in so missed hearing the details, including her name, and where she was from, although I gathered that she had heard the distinctive call of the bird. The caller could have been anywhere in the Maritime Provinces. In any case, it would be a very rare bird in this region. Cheers, Patricia L. Chalmers Halifax P.S. It looks like there is a link to the broadcast at http://www.cbc.ca/maritimenoon/phonein.html, but it doesn't work for me. Perhaps others can listen to it.
