Hello Folks,

Annapolis County Recreation Services in cooperation with Kings Theatre
will be hosting the 2007 Waterwalker Film Festival at Kings Theatre on
Friday April 27, 2007 starting at 7:00 p. m. The cost will be $ 5.00 at
the door and there will be door prizes and displays on paddling. Any
ideas and suggestions would be appreciated .We will be promoting Canoe
Annapolis County and will be looking at creative ways to promote
paddling and the importance of our waterways.

Please spread the word and put the date on your calendar.

The Waterwalker Film Festival was hosted at Kings Theatre in 2003 and
then again in 2005 .The project is coordinated in Nova Scotia by
Canoe/Kayak Nova Scotia and we are pleased to once again host the 2007
showing in Annapolis Royal.

The festival was created in 1989 as a tribute to the late Bill Mason,
the great canoeist, painter, author, conservationist and filmmaker who
inspired so many to enjoy Canadian waterways.

He cared passionately about his work and the wilderness and wanted to
share its beauty and promote its protection. The Canadian Recreational
Canoeing Association, organizers and administers of the Festival, is
committed to carrying on Mason's work to raise public awareness and
support for wilderness preservation. It does so by celebrating the best
films and videos about paddling, the environment and the preservation of
our natural waterways from around the world.
