Hello Jim,

I thought you might want to pass the following on to people on NatureNS.

Birding friends were very sorry to hear of the untimely death this week of
Marg Russell of Port Williams. For many years, Marg's feeders on Sutton Road
attracted a wide variety of birds, some of them rare. Whenever she reported
something uncommon, birders travelled from many places to see what she had;
Marg welcomed all visitors into her yard and into her home for better
viewing. Whether it was because of the uniquely diverse habitat around her
property or because of her care in keeping her many feeders filled, Marg
always attracted the best birds in Port Williams.

As recently as the Great Backyard Bird Count two weeks ago, she was feeding
the only WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW reported in Nova Scotia. She will truly be
missed.

Pat Davis
