Hi:

I checked out the whole of Conrad Bch., HRM, this a.m and found that the grass
sparrows concentrated there a couple of weeks ago had largely abandonned the
east end of the beach. There there were still 5+ Song Sparrows, and only one
certain Ipswch and one Savannah - also 2-3 robins at the spruce-woods edge.

However, at the west end, in the heavily-seeded stretch of marram grass, there
were at least 8 Savannahs and perhaps four Ipswiches, in a restive flock.

I did not find a single sparrow on a reasonably thorough circuit of Rainbow
Haven Beach, mouth of Cole Hbr.

Cheers, Ian
