Hi, A group of Metro birders and I did the Canning/ Port Williams/ Dykes circuit this morning and found some good birds. There were several small flocks of HORNED LARKS scattered around, and 500+ CANADA GEESE at Lr. Canard. There was a (?) 2nd winter GLAUCOUS GULL at Maple Leaf Poultry. The CAROLINA WREN was singing in Merritt Gibson's yard, and we briefly saw a F. N.CARDINAL THERE too. A PEREGRINE was perched on an old elm stump near Starr's Point. There were 2 SAVANNAH SPARROWS in the vicinity. There were the usual BALD EAGLES, RED-TAILS and 1 light phase ROUGH-LEG. At Port Williams sewage plant the M. BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was present with multiple MALLARDS. Finally, on arriving home for lunch our 1st yard N.MOCKINGBIRD appeared at the bird pie for a few minutes.
