Good morning, Patricia.

When I noticed that you have no mention of Baltimore Orioles, I
immediately recalled seeing one at my brother's feeder in Brookfield,
Colchester County, sometime in January. I'm afraid I didn't record the
date, but it was certainly after Christmas. I don't know when you
started the "Depths of winter" list, so maybe this doesn't qualify.

The Oriole had already been there for a couple of weeks, I believe, so I
told him to put out pieces of orange to keep it around. The bitter cold
weather was already upon us by then.

When he checked with Ross Hall in Truro for helpful advice, he was told
it probably wouldn't survive the cold, and I suspect that's exactly what
happened. We haven't seen it in about a month now.

Hope this info is useful.
