Hi Sandy,

There actually is a Lime disease, phytophotodermatitis, which is an  
inflammatory reaction resulting from contact with light-sensitizing  
botanical substances (typically limes and lemons) and long-wave  
ultraviolet radiation. It is, of course, quite different from Lyme  
disease caused by the spirochete, Borrelia burgdorferi, which is  
transmitted by ticks.
