There are lots of birders in the Fredericton area who would love to have Golden Eagles around. In New Brunswick, Golden Eagles are normally seen singly, extremely rarely as two together. Nine in one tree seems more likely to refer to immature/subadult Bald Eagles. I know of only two reports of Golden Eagle in New Brunswick this winter: one Dec. 1 near Beechwood (upper St. John valley) and one Jan. 21 at Harvey (upper Bay of Fundy). Photos of the latter are viewable at http://homepage.mac.com/maryspt/observ/GOEA2007.html . -- David Christie Mary's Point, Harvey, Albert Co., New Brunswick, Canada http://www3.nbnet.nb.ca/maryspt
