Carol and I went to this area on Tuesday and returned yesterday. I had 18 target birds gleaned from NatureNS messages from Johnny, Murray, Joan and James. As has been my luck lately, we only saw 5 of these. The best was the Redhead at Daniel's Head (With the help of Johnny and Sandra). The other four were Brant, Sanderling, Red-winged Blackbird and Common Grackle. We missed out on the Western Tanager although we visited the feeders three times. For birders wanting somewhere to stay in the area, I would recommend the Red Cap Motel in Middle West Pubnico. The rooms are new, clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was excellent (Carol had hot lobster on toast and I had the rappie pie). Don Don MacNeill donmacneill@eastlink.ca
